The National Audit Supervision (CNSA), set up by Decree-Law No. 225/2008 of 20 November, includes representatives from the Instituto de Seguros de Portugal, the Banco de Portugal, and the Comissão do Mercado de valores Mobiliários, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the General Inspectorate of Finance, being responsible for the organization of a system of public oversight of the auditors and firms of auditors, and simultaneously ensure cooperation and coordination effective in the field of auditing oversight.
With the release of its website, the CNSA announces officially and centrally, information on the records of statutory auditors and audit firms of auditors, and in addition, for purposes of transparency, disseminates information about the activity of supervision of those auditors and firms of auditors.
